Life Chemicals Diversity Library

The Life Chemicals diversity library consists of 25,000 new diverse, drug-like compounds selected from Life Chemicals, inc. repository. "Describing the Collection qualitatively, among other generally acknowledged and reliable standards the Lipinsky's "rules of five" as well as Veber criteria and dissimilarity evaluation have been applied. All compounds in our Collection can be distinguished as original, most carefully selected, diverse, well-characterised and pure, lead-like and drug-like new chemical entities." The 25,000 compounds selected for the SMSF represent new diversity and complement our existing Maybridge, Chembridge and ChemDiv libraries. Maybridge HitFinder Library

The Maybridge HitFinder collection of screening compounds consists of 14,400 premier compounds representing the drug-like diversity of the Maybridge Screening Collection, offering easy and rapid lead identification. All screening compounds fit Lipinski guidelines for "drug-likeness", and all have purity greater than 90%. The compound is arrayed in 45 384-well microtiter plates and is available for screening at 1mM and 0.1mM stock concentrations. Click here to download the brochure from Maybridge.

Microsource Discovery Anti-Cancer Plate

80 compounds with known anti-cancer activities including cytotoxic agents, antiproliferatives, immune suppressants, and other experimental and therapeutic agents from Microsource Discovery, Inc.

Agro Plate

80 compounds representing classical and experimental pesticides, herbicides, and purported endocrine disrupters from Microsource Discovery, Inc.

NCI Libraries: NCI01, NCI 02, and NCI03

The NCI01 library consists of 1990 compounds selected from the NCI open collection of 140,000 compounds. The compounds were selected based upon availability and drug-likeness. Also included in the NCI01 library is the challenge set: 57 compounds of novel structural types which have shown unusual patterns of cell line sensitivity and resistance.

The NCI02 library consists of 879 compounds which have represent a broad range of structural diversity and patterns of growth inhibition in the NCI 60 cell line screen.

The NCI03 library consists of 235 natural products that were selected from the NCI open repository on the basis of structural diversity and availability of compound.

Chembridge Library:

The facility possesses a 16,000 compound library from the Chembridge DIVERSet.  These are a collection of "universally" diverse, pre-designed drug-like small molecules.  The compounds have been rationally selected based on 3D pharmacophore analysis to cover the broadest part of biologically relevant pharmacophore diversity space.

The library has been formatted in 96 well and 384 well plates and is available to investigators for screening.

ChemDiv Library:

This library is a 20,000 member compound library from Chemical Diversity Labs, Inc.
This library was chosen to complement the Chembridge library. Chemical Diversity Labs examined our current collection of compounds and ran heterocyclic clustering and matrix maximization algorithms of Chemosoft TM to fill voids in the chemistry space while maintaining maximal diversity of the entire set.

The library is formatted in 384 well plates and is available for screening in 384-well or 96-well plates.

Known Bioactive Library (KBA01):

Our newest library consists of 3 commercially available collections totalling 4,160 compounds. KBA01 consists of 880 high purity compounds of known safety and bioavailability in humans of which over 85% are marketed drugs from Prestwick Chemical. The prestwick compounds cover several therapeutic areas including neuropsychiatry, cardiology, immunology, inflammation, analgesia, etc. Also included in the KBA01 library is 2000 diverse FDA approved drugs and natural products from Spectrum Chemical Collection From Microscource Discovery Systems, inc. and 1280 compounds from Sigma. The Sigma compounds are from the LOPAC (Library of Pharmacologically Active compounds) and represent marketed drugs, failed development candidates and "gold standards" that have well-characterized activites. These compounds are the results of lead optimization efforts and have been rationally designed by structure-activity relationship studies.

These three collections have been combined and reformatted for screening in 13 - 384 well plates and are availabe for screening in 384-well or 96-well plates.

Compound plates are sealed with an adhesive plate sealer (Sagian) and are stored at -20 degrees for long-term storage. We have the capacity to store 2,888 384-well or 96-well plates at -20 degrees and 2400 384-well and 96-well plates at -80 degrees.
